Night fishing charter FAQ, Gold Coast
The questions people ask before their first night on the water.
Do we need fishing experience?
No. The skipper shows you what to do and helps everyone get a line in.
Can kids come?
Yes, with a parent, and a life jacket for everyone on board.
What happens if the weather turns?
The skipper makes the call. If we cancel for weather, you can move to any night within 90 days at no charge.
What if we don't catch anything?
It happens some nights. The skipper will move the boat and try another spot. We do not refund for a quiet night, but we will offer a discount on your next trip with us.
Can we bring alcohol?
Beer, wine and pre-mixed drinks in cans are fine. No glass and no straight spirits. Guests drinking must be 18 or over.
Are there toilets?
Not on the boat. Please go before you board. The trip runs about 4 hours, so plan for it.
Will anyone get seasick?
The Broadwater is flat water, sheltered from the open ocean swell, so it suits guests who do not have sea legs.
How many people can come, and what if we have more than 8?
The private price covers up to 8. Extra guests are $60 each up to a working cap of 12 on the boat at night.
What should we bring?
Your rods, tackle, bait, food, drinks and a jacket for the cooler months.
What if we're running late?
Please try to be at the pontoon 15 minutes before your trip time. The trip still finishes at the booked time, so a late arrival means less time on the water.
Can we get a gift voucher?
Yes, at the same price as the trip, valid for 12 months.
How do we pick a pickup point?
Choose whichever of our six pontoons is closest to you, on the Pickup page. We will confirm the exact one when we text to lock in your date.
